Sealing Solution 90

For a good anodizing result, particular attention must be paid to sealing. The most important factors in the commonly used hot-water sealing process are duration, temperature, bath composition, and pH value.

With conventional sealing at temperatures above 96 °C, a high energy input is required due to boiling and the resulting evaporation. In addition, evaporated sealing bath often has to be replenished, and surrounding areas are affected by water vapor. As an alternative, expensive and cumbersome pressurized vessels (with lockable lids) must be used. All of these disadvantages are eliminated with our new formulation.

Our Sealing Solution 90 offers the following advantages:

• Good sealing quality even at lower temperatures:

• Automatically adjusts the pH value to the optimal range of 5.5–6.0 and buffers it
• No more disturbing sealing residue
• Optimal sealing even with water contaminated by foreign ions (e.g. tap water) – deionized water should nevertheless be preferred
• Free of heavy metals
• Very economical (typically 2–3 ml of solution per liter of sealing bath)
